Well, when we enjoyed Sunday brunch with Gun-Marie, we encounterd Chef Jurgen of the Melia who invited Ira to a "Super Bowl Party" at the hotel's Latino Bar. Jurgen told Ira to get there between 6 and 7 a.m. and to call him from the front desk.
Of course, although he is not a great football fan, Ira felt it could be fun to experience the "big game" in another setting.
He got to the front desk a bit before 7 and when he was connected with Jurgen, he found out that Jurgen had some sort of allergic reaction(possibly to seafood he had eaten the day before) so he would not be coming in early.
Oh well a party is still a party, right?! Well the game was on two tv's but there was no party, only a table or two of people discussing business, working on their laptops and keeping one eye on the game.
Ira did watch the game in its entirety, texting once to brother Dick who was watching at a friend's house in Bethlehem, PA, then he got on another bus and went about his business for the day.
Later on when enjoying a quick beer at the bia hoi, Ira did get a phone call from Jurgen asking how he enjoyed the "party."
Well, it was just coffee and big screen TV but it was here in Hanoi in the morning as it was taking place in Florida. "It's a Small world After All...." NOT SINGING>
